Unbelievable

They've changed the sample photo for the enerkid site but they still didn't use a picture of me!

I was on cereal boxes for crying out loud! Sure they were only sold out of vending machines in Japan, but it was the best unlicensed likeness attached to the entire Happy Critter Crunchies line. I'll scan in the box sometime.

Anyway email the guys at Ticking Brain and let 'em know that their public demands a Briny Picklestem version of Enerkid.

Enerkid VS The Monster Ray

Ticking Brain Entertainment has just released the first live-action superhero DVD starring you!

Say wha?? Okay here's the deal:

You upload a picture of yourself, your kid, your dog, whatever and they use some sort of electronic, motion-tracking voodoo to stick your head on the body of Enerkid (a glowing superhero who can fly, fire energy beams from the hands, and generally save the world as we know it ).

Check out the trailer and see for yourself.

Of course your guess is as good as mine why they didn't use the celebrated face of yours truly to demo their product but I'll see if I can't remedy the situation and get a Briny version posted here.

Welcome to the new Ticking Brain Update Source

As the unofficial mascot/spokesfly for Ticking Brain Entertainment, I welcome you to this fancy smancy News & Notes update source for all things Ticking Brain Ent.

Okay, admitedly a blog hardly qualifies as "fancy smancy" but I was told to include that phrase along with the terms hip, sweet, cool, wildly entertaining, fresh, and web 3.0 (glad that's out of the way)

First a little about me: Briny Picklestem. I use to be huge. During the dotcom explosion web mascots like myself were in big demand and living large off superbowl ads and venture capital cheques.

Remember myflytrader.com? That was me baby! I was a media king. Kids used to dress up like me on Halloween and shout "Trick or Trade" for crying out loud. Sure they were paid to do it, but it happened! Then the bubble burst and --poof-- it was over. They were all gone. Bankrupt and... well it hurts even to think about those dark days now.

Anyway point being my fees had dropped somewhat and, after 5 lost years in the wilderness (more on that later), this guy named Kit called me up and offered me a gig writing his production company's news & notes page. So here I am, underpaid but generally appreciated and all about hyping whatever Ticking Brain Entertainment has up its sleeve next. Um... I guess I'll start that next post.
